Lin Health supports those struggling with Chronic Pain - Episode 145

Episode Summary

In today’s episode, I interview Dr. Abigail Hirsch the founder of Lin Health. Abigail is a clinical psychologist by training and no stranger to the world of digital therapeutics. Her company Lin Health is a digital platform for chronic pain management. Their care support team helps individuals navigate a personalized and integrative approach to care. They’ve built a connected, curated, and customizable digital pain management solution poised to deliver chronic pain treatment at scale in a way that the current health systems cannot. Chronic pain affects one out of five Americans or 50M people and accounts for 15% of all doctor visits. Globally, women struggle with chronic pain at higher proportions than men; however women are less likely to receive treatment. Women with persistent pain have been underserved by a broken healthcare system to the point of a national crisis. In this episode, we learn that persistent pain isn't just a symptom but rather a medical condition that needs to be properly diagnosed and addressed head-on. 90% of Lin members reported lower pain intensity, reduced pain interference in their lives, start to sleep comfortably, feel happy and calm, and cope better if the pain does flare up.
